I swear that athletes are getting dumber and dumber every year. Did Greek Olympian Voula Papachristou think that her controversial tweets would not be seen by the world? I mean it is Twitter one of the only most widely used social media tools in the world. Yeah she should be completely floored that the tweets would be found (I, Nelson Laut am being sarcastic with that last comment if you didn’t know).
Sources say that Jeremy Lin is angry at the New York Knicks for not being as aggressive in going after him like the Houston Rockets. Well you can’t blame him - I mean he was an undrafted rookie out and was waived numerous times and finally started playing good basketball for half a season so that should be enough for everyone to go after him (This is all sarcasm).
I think the Knicks did the right thing and waited for a team like the Houston Rockets to come in an put a price tag on Lin. I think everyone that watches basketball knew that New York would match an offer but they just wanted to make sure that they weren’t going to overpay. As a franchise you have to see what people see him as and make sure that you either walk away if the contract is too high (ahem David Kahn on Darko Milicic’s deal) or you see if the price is just right.
I know i’m late to the party on this but did Ron Artest (I know he’s legally name Metta World Peace but he’s an ass so i’m calling him Ron Artest) really just critique James Harden’s style of play (link here)? Really “No Brain All Beard”? Then you must be “No Brain All Elbow” Ron Artest.
