I am not at all surprised by these supposed turn of events. When you’re close to being eliminated from playoff contention with a roster of high-performing offensive individuals, heads will eventually roll. You can’t blame Bobby Valentine for all of the misfortunes of the Boston Red Sox this season but you could say his boisterous attitude and inability to shake things up did attribute to a lot of the troubles. It must be bad for you as a manger if Dustin Pedroia and Adrian Gonzalez (two players known to not rock the boat or the locker room with drama) bring up the issues to the front office.

I wonder if it is too late to bring back Terry Francona…
