ESPN: Deng, Hinrich 'likely out' of Game 4 against Heat

If there was any time for Derrick Rose to make a triumphant return to the Bulls now’s the time. Even if he claims that he’s not ready to play (contrary to the past couple of months of reports that he’s been practicing quite well),  the Bulls’ roster is lacking depth with Deng and Hinrich out. He should at least give it a quarter to see how much he can either help or hurt the team. What does he have to lose other than more respect the more he declines to play?

Michael Jordan is a steak lover

image from beansouptimes.com

Michael Jordan is the ultimate competitor on and off the court - he played basketball with tenacity, his business savvy has given him a big Jordan Brand shoe empire, and his legacy as one of the NBA greats will never be tarnished (well unless people start including his current position as owner of the Charlotte Bobcats).

But what makes him a champion? What fuels his greatness day in and day out? Apparently steak and potatoes. Michael Jordan apparently ate a big steak and potato meal four hours before every game. Here is an article from thepostgame.com that talks about the pre-game meals of pro athletes.

ESPN: NBA center Mehmet Okur retires

Image from Getty

Sad to see Mehmet Okur retire. The big fella had some great seasons and his game was sound but when injuries plague your body, it’s better to cash in your chips and still be able to walk with the least amount of pain.
