ESPN: Flu Game? Trainer says MJ had bad pizza

It doesn’t matter if Michael Jordan had the flu or ate a bad pizza - If you’re that sick and can still deliver in one of the biggest stages in sports then you are one of the greats. But I don’t think MJ would’ve won that game if he had a bad burrito though.

Espn’s latest “This IS SportsCenter” commercial featuring Rajon Rondo of the Boston Celtics. Not their best stuff but it is still funny.

Los Angeles Clipper Eric Bledsoe blocks Dwayne Wade of the Miami Heat with no remorse. Then Ryan Hollins gets a block of his own. There’s a block party in Lob City apparently.

"I never wanted anybody to hate me, you know. I wanted everybody to love me, you know, like me, for sticking around and doing what they wanted me to do. And making everybody else happy. And that was a valuable lesson for me, you know."

New York Knicks sign J.R. Smith's young brother Chris Smith

It’s going to be interesting to see what the younger Smith will bring to the table. Knicks fans should hope that Chris Smith has J.R.’s smooth shooting and not his horrible off-court hijinks.

I wonder when Chris met with the Knicks that this happened below between the brothers:

Zombie Sonics fans throw support to Heat
I know it’s been four years but Seattle deserves to have a NBA Basketball team. Also, it would be great to see a Sonics - Thunder game where they turn back the clock. Perhaps the thunder can wear zombie Sonics Jerseys in that game. No they wouldn’t but either way BRING BACK THE SONICS!

"Coach Spoelstra has the most thankless task in all of the nba. He will get zero credit if they win. He will get absolutely zero credit if they win. He will get a tremendous amount of blame if they don’t win. And that’s a tough thing."

Kevin Garnett is a Punk and the Anonymous Player X isn’t afraid to admit it

I found this article on ESPNBoston.com where an anonymous NBA player calls Kevin Garnett a ‘Punk and a Coward’. This is a recurring series called ‘Player X’ in ESPN the Magazine. I for one think that this player is quite brave for revealing the truth about players behind a column rather than say it out publicly (Can you sense my sarcasm?)

Baseball Season is among us!

I love the spring. There are so many signs that let you know that spring is here: the smell of freshly cut grass traveling through the warm air, birds chirping in a melodic fashion and of course the up to every day news that comes from MLB Spring Training!

Every baseball fan loves the spring because baseball has arrived. Your favorite team has woken up from its winter slumber and has emerged with the vigor of a busy bee. Every new baseball seasons brings back some old friends, introduces some new faces, and rekindles the dream World Series glory.

I for one am excited to see the Boston Red Sox come out of the gate with guns a’ blazing. After a lackluster 2010 season filled with injuries from stars Dustin Pedroia and Kevin Youkilis, the Sox made some off-season moves that added Carl Crawford and Adrian Gonzalez to cover the departure of Adrian Beltre and a few others.  Every year, the Sox get locked and loaded with talent to compete with the New York Yankees and those feisty Tampa Bay Rays in the AL East.  Do I think that the Sox have enough to get at least a Wild Card Berth? You bet but the real goal is to get the players healthy and ready for 162 games and beyond and I think that the team will prepared for the grueling season.

Now that you have read me rambling on about the Sox, what teams are you rooting for this season?
