Kevin Garnett is a Punk and the Anonymous Player X isn't afraid to admit it

I found this article on ESPNBoston.com where an anonymous NBA player calls Kevin Garnett a ‘Punk and a Coward’. This is a recurring series called ‘Player X’ in ESPN the Magazine. I for one think that this player is quite brave for revealing the truth about players behind a column rather than say it out publicly (Can you sense my sarcasm?)

A Complete Guide To Seinfeld's Sneaker

I was checking out my favorite sneaker site NiceKicks.com and ran across this awesome feature about the shoes of Jerry Seinfeld from Gary Warnett at Complex.com. Who knew that a show about nothing would have a guy with an eye for shoes? Check out the feature here.

Reliving your childhood hobby of Collecting Cards

image

Jeez how long has it been since I last blogged? Well let’s see, since I’ve last blogged the Nuggets developed a winning streak that made them say ‘Melo who?’, the sides between the NFL owners and players are far apart like the boys and girls from a middle school dance, and the boys of summer return for another wild year of Baseball.

During this whole time, I decided to get back to work while at the same time watch almost all of my New England teams take a nosedive into the losing abyss. What does a sports fan do besides stand by your teams and live in complete denial?  Well take a trip down memory lane of course!

This past weekend while I was walking around in the ye olde shopping mall, I found myself strolling into a hobby shop.  I walked past all the Justin Bieber posters, anime movies, and action figures and stumbled upon a great sight - A shelf of unopened sports cards!  I was surrounded by old cards from the years that I started collecting.

It was like in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade where Indy encountered the room that had the Last Knight and all of the cups where one would be the holy grail but rather than choose just one treasure, I decided to go after a couple. There was no way that I was going to leave with just one box. The lady at the store mentioned to me that all the card boxes were 50% off. I asked why and she replied, “No one collects cards anymore.”  She was right to a point but I didn’t want to argue I just wanted the cards.  So like a junkie looking a quick fix to tide him over, I got me a taste of a couple of boxes and promised that I would be back for more of the good stuff later.  I wonder if any sports fans like me get the urge to want to collect cards after a 20 year hiatus?
